ZeSinEg

Juno Crux fondly watched his spaceship, the ZeSinEg, being docked at a Repair Space Station in the Outer Solar System. He was personally connected to this ship, built from scratch, inherited from an ace astronaut. The name was still a mystery to him, only the ship builder knew. Suddenly, a call came from Earth Military Command going out to all private defense contractors, of which Juno was one, that they needed to investigate an anomaly in the outer gas giant Uranus. Juno gathered his crew and went to Uranus to investigate.

When he got there, he discovered a giant space alien eating all the gas of the gas giant. It was eating up its mass for fuel. Alice Lovelace, a gentle scientist and scholar, who was aboard, documented everything she could. Juno and Eon, his second in command, went aboard an interception vessel, a spacejet, to investigate closer. They got close to the alien, and it sent out little beings to attack them. They were easily destroyed, but it made it impossible to approach the alien. They got back to the ZeSinEg, and went next to the Neptune Military Space station to give their data.

The government was surprised when they saw what was happening. The ZeSinEg was released. The government started crafting a military response to the Space Monster, as they called it. This Planet Eater was the threat to the planet that their media had always warned them of, an existential crisis which must be met with brute force. A mass migration into the military services and a full mobilization of the economy to this effort was completed immediately.

The Planet Eater reached Neptune before the Military was fully mobilized. They were unprepared. Alice thought that this was the perfect moment to infiltrate the beast and get all the data they could on it. To study it as a natural wonder. Juno agreed to use the ZeSinEg as a research vessel. They brought along a crew of scientists and professors, and only three combat personnel, Juno, Eon, and Leto. Inside the beast, they discovered that it had layers of defenses, and communities of aliens living inside of it. People sized bacterium seemed to run it at the smaller layers. It was a big cell.

Alice and the Scientists identified several areas of interest. The power base, where most of the power was generated for the beast, the stomach: where all the matter that it "ate" went. And a seemingly useless chasm, but in a central location to the beast. Alice decided to go there. They found eggs, planet eater eggs. Alice took several and escaped with them on the ZeSinEg. They took the Eggs to a research facility on Mars where one of the team's scientists, Ramujin, had a crazy idea to convert the planet into a mini space monster. This would be humanity's weapon.

However, events interrupted him, the Planet Eater had eaten Neptune already and approached Jupiter. If Jupiter was lost, the Solar System was Doomed. The Earth Military was ready to attack. Juno Crux took the ZeSinEg into battle to aid in the final effort. Ramujin was left on Mars, Juno having no time to deal with him. In the battle, humanity put up a good fight, but the Planet Eater was victorious. At the last Second, Ramujin arrived with Ares, the spacemonster Mars. The tide could turn. Juno saw hope. However, as soon as it attacked, the planet eater implanted a mind control device and converted Mars to its own side. The ZeSinEg was destroyed, Juno died, Alice barely escaped.

The Planet Eater began to eat Jupiter. This gave humanity a bit of time, because it was so massive, it would take a long time to finish. Ramujin and Eon took Alice to Venus, which they converted to a space monster as well. The remains of the ZeSinEg were reincarnated with the Alien DNA technology. Alice stopped being so mild and femenine and turned into a Samus Zero look-alike, time to kick ass and take revenge for Juno's death. The new captain of the Neo ZeSinEg, Alice, led a sneak attack on Mars, which was approaching the planet Earth. Venus, or Artemis, ate Mars, or Ares, and incorporated all of the mass into itself. Growing into a giant monster, Artemis, made itself invulnerable to the Planet Eater's Mind Control.

The planet eater seemed unphased that Ares was gone. However, its eye finally noticed that something strange was going on. Finally the space monster realized that it was dealing with a foreign consciousness, and not just dead unintelligent bacterium. Earth was transformed into a planet monster as well, which was called Apollo. Apollo and Artemis, confronted the Eater, who was now named Chaos, by some. Just as it was about to get to the core, Apollo snatched it and used the power for itself. Angry, the Planet Eater started the Assault. A vicious was began between the two mini-monsters and the one Gigantic Planet Eater. The problem was that the planet eater's offensive tactics had to be focused in one direction, it was like a kitten. The consciousness of the Human Animals was multiplied by Artificial Intelligence.

Eventually, The Planet Eater got tired of fighting, losing interest, it simply ate the Sun, which Apollo and Artemis were unable to prevent. Then, Alice who had made contact with the consciousness of the Planet Eater, told the human animals to lie close to the beast because they were about to be transported to another part of the galaxy. The Beast created a worm hole and FTL jumped out of the solar system. Apollo and Artemis were dragged along as well.

They were in a new world. There were giant planet sized Monsters everywhere. It was a colorful coral reef of galactic lifeforms. Alice saw the Earth animals separating. Artemis and Apollo would go their separate ways. The Planet Eater simply moved along on its way. Alice took the ZeSinEg by herself. She lived with this tiny tiny little beast, cultivating its health and its consciousness, exploring this new world together. Juno seemed to live in the beast, his consciousness had been somehow displaced and embedded in the beast. Finally, she knew the meaning of ZeSinEg, how the beast got its name, and what it meant. The story doesn't portray a real underlying mechanism for the formation of the name as she had previously thought, but a mere intersection of unrelated events which collided and formed a concept which the Builder of the original ZeSinEg thought to be aesthetically pleasing.
